Watford captain Troy Deeney (£6.2m) was back on the scoresheet in Gameweek 28, returning both a goal and an assist in the Hornets' best result of the season, a 3-0 win against league leaders Liverpool. Deeney accrued 11 FPL points from the match. Also scoring in Gameweek 28 was Crystal Palace's Jordan Ayew (£5.1m) in a 0-1 win over bitter rivals Brighton, with the Ghanaian accumulating 7 FPL points from the fixture.
The two forwards face off against each other in Gameweek 29 as Watford travel to Selhurst Park. With Palace having kept two clean sheets on the bounce, Watford may find it difficult to break the Eagles down. Add that to Ayew costing £1.1m less than Deeney and he represents the best value in this head-to-head.
Verdict: Jordan Ayew
