Crystal Palace and left-back Patrick van Aanholt (£5.5m) secured their second clean sheet in as many games, after the Eagles' 0-1 win away at Brighton. For Van Aanholt, it took his tally of FPL points in the last two gameweeks to 23, after his goal and clean sheet in Gameweek 27 against Newcastle. Speaking of Newcastle, Magpies defender Federico Fernandez (£4.5m) also kept a clean sheet in Gameweek 28 as their match at home to Burnley finished 0-0.
Gameweek 29 sees Crystal Palace host Watford, whilst Newcastle travel to Southampton. Whilst Fernandez is by far the cheaper option, Van Aanholt's attacking threat and set-piece ability combined with Crystal Palace's new-found defensive steel makes him comfortably the more attractive FPL option here.
