FPL Gameweek 28 – head-to-head comparisons: Olivier Giroud vs Diogo Jota

A less-than-fit Tammy Abraham saw Olivier Giroud (£6.5m) lead the line for Chelsea against Spurs in Gameweek 27, and the French World Cup winner scored the opening goal against their London rivals, accruing 9 FPL points as the Blues triumphed 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. It was also a successful Gameweek 27 for Wolves forward Diogo Jota (£6.2m) as he backed up his hat-trick in the Europa League three days earlier with two goals and an assist against Norwich, accumulating 16 FPL points.

With question marks over Abraham's fitness, Giroud could keep his place in the Chelsea starting line-up away at Bournemouth in Gameweek 28. However, Jota is the form player with five goals in his last two appearances and at £6.2m, represents excellent value playing against a Spurs side who do not look at all assured defensively.
