After failing to score against Man City in Gameweek 27, it's now seven Premier League appearances without a goal for Jamie Vardy (£9.7m), although he remains the top scorer in the Premier League so far this season, now tied with Arsenal's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Liverpool's Roberto Firmino (£9.7m) also suffered frustration in Gameweek 27 as his wait for a league goal at Anfield this season continued despite the Reds beating West Ham 3-2.
Vardy faces a Friday night Premier League fixture away at bottom-of-the-table Norwich in Gameweek 28. Last time Vardy played in the Premier League on a Friday night, he racked up 20 FPL points after three goals and an assist in Leicester 0-9 demolition of Southampton back in October. Firmino will also be happy to have an away match in Gameweek 28, having scored all of his eight league goals this season for Liverpool on the road. However, facing a Norwich side who look set to struggle in defence with the likely absence of Christoph Zimmermann, we're backing Vardy to end his goal drought and outscore Firmino in this head-to-head.
