FPL Gameweek 27 – head-to-head comparisons: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang vs Alexandre Lacazette

Both Arsenal forwards Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£10.8m) and Alexandre Lacazette (£9.3m) got back on the scoring trail in Gameweek 26 as the Gunners thrashed Newcastle 4-0 at the Emirates Stadium. Aubameyang scored his first goal since Gameweek 22 - away at Crystal Palace in a game which also saw him red carded. Lacazette meanwhile, grabbed his first goal since all the way back in Gameweek 15. The Frenchman also registered an assist against the Magpies, picking up 9 FPL points despite only coming on as a substitute in the 85th minute.

Gameweek 27 sees Arsenal host a resurgent Everton and whilst Lacazette may have scored more FPL points than Aubameyang against Newcastle, his place in the starting XI is not guaranteed, whereas Arsenal captain Aubameyang's place certainly is. For that reason we're going to play it safe and tip Aubameyang here.
