FPL Gameweek 26 – head-to-head comparisons: Youri Tielemans vs Bruno Fernandes
Gameweek 25 saw Leicester midfielder Youri Tielemans (£6.2m) register his first attacking returns since all the way back in Gameweek 12 after gaining two assists in the Foxes' 2-2 draw against Chelsea at the King Power Stadium. Playing in a deeper role in central midfield has perhaps been to the cost of Tielemans' attacking returns in the past few months.
New Man Utd signing Bruno Fernandes (£8.0m) made his debut in Gameweek 25 at home to Wolves and looked good despite playing in a deeper role. He'll be expected to play further forward against Chelsea in Gameweek 26 and, facing a side who have conceded five goals in their last three games, could be in line for his first return since joining the club. Short and long term, Fernandes looks a better option than the deeper lying Tielemans.
Verdict: Bruno Fernandes
