FPL Gameweek 26 – head-to-head comparisons: Virgil van Dijk vs Joe Gomez
Liverpool's two dominant centre backs will look to make it ten clean sheets in eleven Premier League matches when they travel to Norwich in Gameweek 26. Virgil van Dijk (£6.5m) and Joe Gomez (£5.3) have been almost impenetrable since re-establishing their centre-back partnership from last season. Only Wolves have scored against the Reds since all the way back in Gameweek 15.
From an FPL perspective, Van Dijk has a far higher ceiling than Gomez, with the latter covering for the former when he goes up into the opposition penalty area for set pieces. Therefore we'd back Van Dijk on accumulating a higher FPL score than Gomez in this game.
