FPL Gameweek 25 – head-to-head comparisons: Nick Pope vs Dean Henderson

Nick Pope (£4.6m) secured his second score in double figures in as many weeks as he kept a clean sheet at Old Trafford in Burnley’s impressive victory over Man Utd. Pope kept his eighth clean sheet of the season in that game and now sits just two points behind that highest-scoring goalkeeper. Dean Henderson (£5.0m) is that man and the Sheffield United stopper earned a spot in the Dream Team in Gameweek 24 as his save from Gabriel Jesus’ penalty led to three bonus points in an 11-point haul. That would have been even more impressive had his side not conceded late on against Man City with his clean sheet cruelly taken away after an otherwise solid showing against the reigning champions.

There is little to split these two and whilst Pope represents the greater value at £0.4m cheaper, Burnley have a tougher game in Gameweek 25 as they host Arsenal with Henderson’s Sheffield United away at Crystal Palace, a team that have only managed 22 goals from 24 Premier League matches so far this season.

Verdict: Dean Henderson
