FPL Gameweek 24 – head-to-head comparisons – Sergio Aguero vs Jamie Vardy

For long periods of the game, it looked as though Sergio Aguero (£11.9m) and his Man City side would be frustrated in front of goal but the Argentine came to the fore with two goals in the final 10 minutes to turn a poor Gameweek 23 into a 13-point haul. It was not enough as his side then went and conceded late on but Aguero’s recent form is extremely eye-catching and surely makes him difficult to leave out of Pep Guardiola's team having notched five in his last two matches.

Jamie Vardy (£10.1m) made it three Premier League games without a goal as his penalty was saved against Burnley to make it an unsatisfying outing for the Leicester man and his FPL owners. Given Vardy missed two matches during the festive period, you have to go back to Gameweek 18 since he last scored for the Foxes and until he can turn that record around, it is difficult to ignore Aguero’s form in this head-to-head.
