FPL Gameweek 24 – head-to-head comparisons – Sergio Aguero vs Gabriel Jesus

When Sergio Aguero (£11.9m) is in form, not having him in your team is akin to FPL madness. The Argentinian did it again for Man City in Gameweek 23, scoring twice as his side came from behind to lead 2-1 against Crystal Palace, although the Eagles pegged them back late on to scramble a 2-2 draw. Aguero now has five goals in his last two matches, accruing 33 FPL points.

Fellow Man City forward Gabriel Jesus (£9.5m) was left on the bench in Gameweek 23, although he was brought on during the second half and made a big impact, providing the assist for Aguero's first goal. Jesus is in some seriously good form of his own, with three goals and two assists in his last three matches.

Gameweek 24 sees Man City travel to Bramall Lane to face Sheffield Utd. This will prove to be a serious test for the Citizens. What will also prove a serious test is figuring out which of the two forwards Pep Guardiola will start. He could start both considering the last time Aguero and Jesus played together, they ran riot with a 1-6 win over Aston Villa. Regardless of who he chooses, we cannot look beyond Aguero in his current form. Even if Guardiola starts him on the bench, we can easily see a player of his quality coming on and getting his name on the scoresheet against a tired Blades defence.

Verdict: Sergio Aguero
