FPL Gameweek 23 – head-to-head comparisons – Sadio Mane vs Mo Salah

Gameweek 14 is the last time that neither Sadio Mane (£12.4m) nor Mohamed Salah (£12.3m) contributed a goal or an assist in a Premier League match for Liverpool with the pair undoubtedly providing their side with plenty once again this season. Salah has 10 goals and five assists to his name while Mane’s output is even greater with 11 goals and eight assists. Despite those respective tallies, Salah has amassed just three fewer bonus points than his Senegalese teammate.

The pair continue to cause all sorts of problems in the Premier League but which of the duo is likely to earn the greater haul against Manchester United this weekend? Salah has managed just one goal in his last four appearances and he has also only contributed one assists during that same period. Mane has performed slightly better with two goals and an assist in those matches but with little to split the two, the Egyptian is the selection here due to his set-piece taking ability against a team that are liable to concede fouls in and around their own box due to the likely onslaught that will be headed their way.
