FPL Gameweek 2 – head-to-head comparisons: Romain Saiss vs Jamal Lewis
Owners of Romain Saiss (£5.0m) enjoyed an incredibly fruitful Gameweek 1, as the Moroccan grabbed a goal and a clean sheet in Wolves' 0-2 win away at Sheffield Utd, earning him a cool 15 FPL points. Newcastle defender Jamal Lewis (£4.5m) may not have had the same success in terms of FPL points with 7 in total, but the summer signing from Norwich was on the winning side as the Magpies won 0-2 away at West Ham. Lewis also looked dangerous from an attacking perspective, as he was given license to roam forward from left-back which bodes well for the future.
Gameweek 2 could see Saiss struggle to repeat his 15 point feat as Wolves host Man City. Newcastle welcome Brighton to St James Park, which looks a tasty fixture for Lewis on paper although we've seen many times that these sort of matches become huge traps from an FPL perspective. However we're backing City to score against Wolves and with Lewis £0.5m cheaper than Saiss, he is clearly the better value option in this head-to-head.
