Spurs and Harry Kane (£10.5m) suffered huge disappointment in Gameweek 1, as they went down 1-0 at home to Everton. Kane struggled through, after being well shacked by the Toffee's defence and is already showing signs of fatigue having played twice for England just before the start of the season. Meanwhile, Chelsea's new German forward Timo Werner (£9.5m) may not have scored for the Blues away at Brighton, but did grab an assist after winning a penalty in the first half, giving him a total of 5 FPL points.
Spurs travel to Southampton in Gameweek 2, whilst Chelsea host Liverpool. The reigning Premier League champions shipped three goals in their opening day fixture against Leeds and looked all over the place defensively. Former RB Leipzig striker Werner will be licking his lips at the prospect of taking on the Reds defence and is a no brainer here, with his price a whole £1.0m cheaper than Kane.
