Crystal Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita (£4.8m) has not kept a clean sheet since all the way back in Gameweek 1, however his penalty save and two bonus points against Leicester in Gameweek 16 gave him a total score of nine FPL points, his highest since that very first gameweek of the campaign. Meanwhile, Newcastle stopper Karl Darlow (£5.0m) picked up eight FPL points in Gameweek 16 after recording four saves and keeping an unexpected clean sheet in the Magpies' 0-0 draw at home to Liverpool.
Guaita and Crystal Palace welcome rock bottom Sheffield Utd to Selhurst Park in Gameweek 17, whilst Darlow and Newcastle host Leicester. The Blades have not scored in their last two league games and sit on just two points this season. Leicester, however will be fired up after their 1-1 draw against Palace last time out with a refreshed Jamie Vardy set to lead the line. You have to feel that Sheffield Utd at home represents Guaita's best chance on paper at keeping a clean sheet in many weeks and as such he gets the nod for us over Darlow here.
