FPL Gameweek 16 – head-to-head comparisons: Trezeguet vs Adama Traore

Egyptian star Trezeguet (£5.2m) is starting to show why Aston Villa were justified in paying a reported £8.75 million to bring him to the Premier League. Now firmly established as a starter in Dean Smith's side, Trezeguet has scored three goals in his last four league starts for Villa. His latest goal came in Gameweek 15 away at Chelsea, albeit in a losing effort as Villa ultimately went down 2-1 at Stamford Bridge. With 25 FPL points from those four league starts, he is proving a wily differential for his 1.5% ownership.

Wolves midfielder Adama Traore (£5.2m) is another differential making waves on the FPL scene. Having been moved into a more advanced role this season by manager Nuno Espirito Santo, the flying winger has been a constant menace to the opposition, skipping past players with ease and causing a threat on the break. Traore currently has two assists in his last four gameweeks, but it feels like more attacking returns could be around the corner while he continues to play as part of a front three.

Both these players cost the same and both face difficult Gameweek 16 fixtures. Trezeguet's Villa host second-placed Leicester, whilst Traore's Wolves travel to the South Coast to face Brighton. Based on his goalscoring form over the past few gameweeks along with home advantage, this head-to-head sees us favour the Egyptian.

Verdict: Trezeguet
