FPL Gameweek 15 – head-to-head comparisons: Mo Salah vs Bruno Fernandes
Gameweek 14 saw these two big hitting midfielders steal and spotlight and not for the first time this season. Mo Salah (£12.5m) and Bruno Fernandes (£11.0m) racked up an incredible 33 FPL points and that was despite the former only coming on as a substitute. Two goals and an assist both players saw Salah end up with 16 FPL points and Fernandes with 17. Gameweek 15 will no doubt see both players hugely appeal once again as viable captaincy candidates.
Salah's Liverpool host 19th placed West Brom, whilst Fernandes' Man Utd travel to Leicester. The Portuguese star has blanked just once in an away fixture this season and has picked up 58 FPL points from his six league matches on the road so far, Leicester however, will prove tricky opponents as ever under Brendan Rodgers, whilst Liverpool off the back of their 0-7 beating over Crystal Palace will be hoping for a similar story against the Baggies under new boss Sam Allardyce. Salah is enjoying an outstanding run of form with five goals, three assists and 51 FPL points accrued over the last five gameweeks. A home fixture against West Brom for a fresh and firing Salah is simply too enticing to resist.
