FPL Gameweek 15 – head-to-head comparisons: Alexandre Lacazette vs Gabriel Jesus

Gameweek 14 saw Arsenal enter a new era following the departure of manager Unai Emery. Striker Alexandre Lacazette (£9.3m) kept his place in the starting lineup against Norwich and was played as a central striker under interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg. He could not however find the net at Carrow Road but will hope to have done enough to continue starting games alongside fellow striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Man City striker Gabriel Jesus (£9.6m) now looks set to be afforded an extended run in the starting lineup following an injury to Sergio Aguero and despite failing to score against Newcastle, he showed promising signs for potential owners, with Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka, keeping him at bay on more than one occasion.

The Gameweek 15 fixtures favour Lacazette with Arsenal up against Brighton at home, whilst Man City travel to Burnley. Lacazette has scored all four of his league goals this season at the Emirates Stadium and when combined with Brighton's poor record this season against the so called "big six", Lacazette at £0.3m cheaper than Jesus looks the more enticing option here.

Verdict: Alexandre Lacazette
