Gameweek 11 saw James Ward-Prowse (£6.2m) continue his good form over the season, providing an assist in Southampton's 1-2 victory over Brighton. Ward-Prowse's five FPL points accrued makes it 49 FPL points in his last six gameweeks. Jarrod Bowen (£6.5m) meanwhile, failed to make a serious impact for West Ham in their 1-3 defeat at home to Man Utd, one week after his goal and assist against Aston Villa.
On paper, Ward-Prowse has the easier fixture of Gameweek 12, with Southampton at home to rock bottom Sheffield Utd. Bowen and West Ham are away to Leeds, however the Whites have conceded two more goals this season in the Premier League than the Blades. Having said that, Southampton are in excellent and Ward-Prowse with his cheaper price tag and deadly set pieces has to be favoured here.
