Liverpool's Diogo Jota (£7.0m) had to settle for a place on the bench against his old club on Gameweek 11. He did get on the pitch but didn't need to register an attacking return as the Reds cruised to a 4-0 win over Wolves. West Ham's Tomas Soucek (£4.9m) however, did get on the scoresheet to give West Ham to lead over Man Utd. It didn't last, with the Red Devils coming out 1-3 winners but Soucek picked up eight FPL points for his efforts.
Jota will be expected to start in Gameweek 12 as Liverpool travel to struggling Fulham. West Ham are away at Leeds and Soucek will be hoping to utilise his aerial threat and late runs into the box to good effect against Marcelo Bielsa's side who have shipped 20 league goals this season. Fulham have conceded one more goal than Leeds and when you consider Jota's record this season, scoring five league goals despite starting just five Premier League games so far for Liverpool. Paying the extra £2.1m for the Reds midfielder over Soucek appears worth the cost.
