FPL Gameweek 11 – head-to-head comparisons: Illan Meslier vs Sam Johnstone
Whilst Leeds may have conceded 18 Premier League goals this season, goalkeeper Illan Meslier (£4.5m) has impressed, non more so than Gameweek 10 when he registered eight saves and kept his fourth clean sheet of the campaign. Also keeping a clean sheet was West Brom keeper Sam Johnstone (£4.5m) as the Baggies secured a vital 1-0 win over fellow strugglers Sheffield Utd.
Leeds travel to rivals Chelsea on Gameweek 11, whilst West Brom host Crystal Palace. With key midfielder Wilfried Zaha a huge doubt for the Eagles after testing positive for Covid-19, this bodes well for Johnstone with Palace having lost 1-0 against Burnley in Gameweek 10 without Zaha amongst their attack. When also considering the firepower Chelsea have in their attack and it gives us no choice but to go with the West Brom stopper here.
