FPL Gameweek 10 – head-to-head comparisons: Mo Salah vs Sadio Mane

With more goals and more FPL points, there is a growing consensus that Sadio Mane (£11.8m) is the right choice when it comes to whom to own between him and his Liverpool teammate Mo Salah (£12.4m). With both players scoring a similar amount of points and goals, this is mainly due to his pricetag – which as of writing sees Mane coming in at £0.6m less than Salah. Form also plays a part as Mane has outscored Salah 17 points to five over the last three gameweeks.

When it comes to Salah, it’s hard to analyse much with the currently uncertainty over his injury status. After missing the match against Man Utd, Klopp was non-committal over whether the Egyptian would be fit for either the Champions League match or weekend fixture against Spurs. For this reason, Mane is the obvious choice, though if news comes through that Salah will return at the weekend then Salah becomes a much more attractive proposition given his excellent record against Spurs – he has six goals in nine appearances against the Lilywhites.
