Gameweek 9 saw Benjamin Mendy (£5.9m) play his first full 90 minutes for Man City this season in their 2-0 win away at Crystal Palace. It was a promising showing from the Frenchman who has been dogged by injury since his move to Manchester. After a second successive start in the Champions League midweek, Mendy will be expecting to make it three in a row against Aston Villa in Gameweek 10. Everton’s Seamus Coleman (£5.4m) was suspended for the Toffees’ victory over West Ham last weekend following his sending off in Gameweek 8 away at Burnley. His replacement came in the form of Frenchman Djibril Sidibe, who impressed at right back. Coleman’s starting birth could well be under threat as a result, which makes favouring Mendy a no-brainer in this head-to-head.
