Following their penalty shootout win over Liverpool in the Community Shield, Mikel Arteta's Arsenal head into the 2020/21 Premier League season full of confidence. Much tighter at the back under the stewardship of Arteta, the likes of Kieran Tierney (£5.5m) are considering much more enticing an FPL prospect this season. Leicester central defender Caglar Soyuncu (£5.5m) had a memorable 2019-20 campaign, being an ever present in a side that kept 12 clean sheets all season as the Foxes finished in the Europa League places.

Soyuncu acquired a total of 120 FPL points last season and he'll be hoping to improve on that tally this season, beginning in Gameweek One away at newly promoted West Brom. Arsenal are also on the road against a newly promoted side, in their case Championship playoff winners Fulham. Tierney ended last season with a goal and an assist in a 3-2 win over Watford and could be a huge threat for the Gunners going forwards at left-back. With little to choose between both Arsenal and Leicester in terms of clean sheet potential and the two players priced equally, we're leaning towards Tierney over Soyuncu here due to his higher attacking threat.

Verdict: Kieran Tierney
