FPL Gameweek 1 – head-to-head comparisons: Jarrod Bowen vs Eberechi Eze
Two players who last season were plying their trade in the Championship are under the microscope here. Whilst Jarrod Bowen (£6.5m) has already proven himself in the Premier League since his January move to West Ham, Eberechi Eze (£6.0m) has it all to prove after joining Crystal Palace this summer. Eze is coming off the back of a superb season with Queens Park Rangers, where he scored 14 goals from midfield.
Bowen for the Hammers managed one goal and four assists in 916 minutes of Premier League action last season and he is set to play a prominent role for David Moyes' side this campaign. With a home match against Newcastle ahead in Gameweek One, he could be set to make a fast start with a full preseason under his belt. Eze meanwhile, is facing question marks over his fitness having suffered a groin injury and despite being £0.5m cheaper, it makes sense to play things safe and go with Bowen in this head-to-head.
