The top two point-scoring midfielders from the 2018-19 FPL season, Mo Salah (£12.5m) and Raheem Sterling (£12.0m) have been priced the most expensive midfielders in 2019-20. Costing £0.5m more than Sterling, Salah represents the most expensive player in FPL this season. When looking at the head-to-head statistics it is Salah who carries the greater goal threat but Sterling who fractionally shades it in all other categories. The bottom line is both players are likely to be the top two scoring midfielders again in 2019-20 but the clincher for Salah is that he has the added advantage of never being rotated under Klopp, whilst Sterling was dropped four times by Pep throughout last season.
