FPL – head-to-head comparisons: Ederson vs Alisson

The top two point-scoring goalkeepers from the 2018-19 FPL season were Ederson (£6.0m) and Alisson (£6.0m). Both had a stellar campaign in 2018-19 with each recording a clean sheet in over half their games played. While Alisson has recorded one clean sheet more than Ederson, the interesting statistics here are saves made and goals conceded. Despite recording more clean sheets, the Liverpool keeper conceded more goals and made more saves than Man City’s number one. This indicates he was the busier of the two goalkeepers last time season and therefore more at risk to see that clean sheet total drop this campaign, although save points will be in offer.
