Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.3m) started his first Premier League match for five games and put in his best performance of the season with a hat-trick against Leeds United last weekend. The Gabon international played 77 minutes on Thursday night against Benfica in the Champions League but will more than likely start against Man City this Sunday. Sadio Mane (£11.8m) was part of an excellent Liverpool performance against RB Leipzig in Budapest on Tuesday, scoring his first goal since a 1-3 win against Spurs last month, but it remains to be seen if the Reds can transfer that winning feeling back into the Premier League where they are struggling still.
Mane will be part of a competitive Merseyside derby at Anfield this Saturday evening and scored against the Toffees in the reverse of this fixture back in Gameweek 5. His midweek goal could open up the floodgates for both himself and his ailing team in this crunch match and he certainly has the more porous defence to face. Aubameyang’s hat-trick will make a lot of itchy fingers this week but Arsenal’s next match against the tightest defence in the league is *probably* not the best follow-up fixture. Both players could turn it on this weekend, but Mane gets our pick.
