No player scored more points that City’s Raheem Sterling (£12.0m) in Gameweek 1 as he racked up an impressive 20 points. While Mo Salah (£12.5m) was the obvious choice for captain, his 12-point haul paled into significance compared to Sterling’s performance and the City forward clearly represents better value for money at £0.5m less than his Liverpool counterpart, especially with a home match on the horizon this week.
