Two budget friendly midfielders, Johann Berg Gudmundsson (£6.0m) and John McGinn (£5.5m) both found the net in GW1. With not much difference between their underlying stats, there is a clear divide in who has the better-looking fixtures. While Burnley play Arsenal and Liverpool in two of their next three, Villa only play one of last seasons top six (Arsenal) in their next eight fixtures. McGinn is also £0.5m cheaper and thus helps free up funds elsewhere.
