Arsenal youngster Ainsley Maitland-Niles (£5.0m) was the second highest scoring defender in Gameweek 1, picking up 12 points following an assist, clean sheet and three bonus points in Arsenal’s 0-1 win over Newcastle. Aaron Wan-Bissaka (£5.5m) wasn’t far behind, picking up eight points in Man Utd’s 4-0 triumph against Chelsea, but a home fixture against Burnley makes Maitland-Niles a more attractive option for Gameweek 2, especially as he’s priced 0.5m cheaper than Wan-Bissaka, who faces a Monday night game away at Wolves.
