Ahead of Gameweek 2, we take a look at which teams have the best chance of keeping a clean sheet.

Top of the pile are Arsenal who have a 50% chance of keeping a clean sheet when they welcome Burnley to the Emirates stadium. The signing of David Luiz (£6.0m) will help keep the goals out, while Ainsley Maitland-Niles (£5.0m) offers attacking potential from the back after registering an assist in GW1.

A potential budget route to six clean sheet points this week are Sheffield United. The Blades have a 35.5% probability of keeping a clean sheet (joint fifth) when they welcome Crystal Palace to Bramall Lane. John Lundstram (£4.0m) is the standout option given his low price and ability to return bonus points even when not keeping a clean sheet. The only question mark against the player is whether he will continue to be selected in the starting XI. Edna Stevens (£5.0m), Jack O’Connell (£4.5m) and John Egan (£4.5m) offer safer alternatives.

At the bottom are Spurs and Burnley who both only have a 9.6% probability of recording a shutout. As mentioned, Burnley face Arsenal while Spurs travel to Man City for GW2. Goals should be on the menu for the likes of Raheem Sterling (£12.0m) and Sergio Aguero (£12.0m) given City haven’t failed to find the net at home in 20 Premier League matches.
