Kevin De Bruyne (£11.7m) grabbed his ninth assist of the season in a tight win against Brighton on Wednesday night to continue where he left off against Chelsea in Gameweek 17. The Belgian has 19 points from two games now and that form makes him an excellent double gameweek option as City’s captain and current penalty taker sans Sergio Aguero. After a run of four games with five goals both Liverpool and Mo Salah (£12.5m) have hit a dry patch of form. The Egyptian has drawn three blanks in a row now in two draws and a defeat for the reigning champions but a small break this past week might have benefited them.
In terms of DGW19 fixtures there is only one winner here. An in-form De Bruyne to face Crystal Palace and Aston Villa at home should be one of the top captaincy picks for many FPL managers. Salah will face Man Utd in a top-of-the-table clash that could end up yet another edition of the tight, tetchy stalemates between the two great rivals in recent years and a follow-up match at home to Burnley could be as equally frustrating for Liverpool.
