FPL Gameweek 19 – head-to-head comparisons: Jack Grealish vs Tomas Soucek
Jack Grealish (£7.7m) bagged his first attacking return in three matches against Man Utd in Gameweek 17 but was a casualty for many FPL managers in the fixture reshuffling due to covid-19. He and Aston Villa now have two games in-hand over many other FPL assets. Tomas Soucek (£5.3m) is proving to be a frustratingly good budget option in midfield with two goals in his last three games, scoring 24 points over that span.
Both players now face a double gameweek after the reshuffle, Soucek’s in particular looking very favourable for West Ham with two home games against Burnley and West Brom, whilst Grealish will face Man City and Newcastle. There are less defensive opponents out there right now and West Ham and Villa could find themselves up against brick walls in Burnley and Man City, respectively, before more expressive matches against West Brom and Newcastle. Grealish gets the nod for his ability to grab something from nothing, proving that against United last time out, but you could do with both players here.
