Seven points separates Andy Robertson (£7.4m) at the top of the FPL’s Defenders list and Ben Chilwell (£6.1m) but neither of their sides’ recent performances have matched their individual scores. Both Liverpool and Chelsea were afforded a small break from this relentless Premier League season which could be just what the doctor ordered for two sides in intermittent form.
Chilwell is part of a Chelsea side that is currently conceding too many goals whilst Robertson’s Reds are struggling to score. On the face of it there is more scope for clean sheets for Robertson, who faces Man Utd and Burnley at Anfield where Liverpool remain unbeaten in 67 league games. Chelsea will play back-to-back away games at Fulham and Leicester with a shaky defence looking costly, though there is always the old phenomenon of scoring against your old side that could give Chilwell his third goal of the season. This is a tough call but Robertson edges it on home advantage.
