Romain Saiss (£5.1m) scored his second goal in three Premier League games in Wolves’ 3-3 thriller against Brighton & Hove Albion but it is exactly that kind of scoreline keeping him from being an FPL must-have. Wolves have not kept a clean sheet since Gameweek 6 against Newcastle and whilst Saiss missed five games of that run through injury the Morroccan has started the last six matches. Eric Dier (£5.1m) has two more clean sheets to his name than Saiss after a first clean sheet in five for his Tottenham side but as of yet has not registered any attacking returns this season.
With Spurs taking on the Premier League’s surprise package Aston Villa on the road in Gameweek 18, a defensive return for Dier seems a tougher prospect than Saiss and the Wolves backline from keeping Everton at bay at home. Realistically both defenders are not guaranteed a clean sheet against two good sides and so on the higher chance of attacking returns alone Saiss gets the nod here.
