FPL Gameweek 14 – head-to-head comparisons: Raheem Sterling vs Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang
There should be some itchy fingers amongst FPL managers before Gameweek 14 begins after Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (£11.4m) scored his first Premier League goal in six games on Wednesday night. The Arsenal captain has just three goals and one assist for the struggling Gunners and a trip away to a solidifying Everton is not the best follow-up for momentum. Raheem Sterling (£11.4m) also has just three goals this season but he grabbed an assist for Man City in their disappointing draw at home to West Brom.
Both these players have some difficult away fixtures to deal with as Sterling travels to high-flying Southampton. Aubameyang scored two goals in the reverse fixture last season whilst Sterling has not scored against the Saints since 2018 but it will be something of a gamble on either player here with little form between them. Arsenal’s stuttering form and |Everton’s back-to-back clean sheets suggests that City may have the better time of it at Southampton and Sterling just edges this for us.
