FPL Gameweek 14 – head-to-head comparisons: Mo Salah vs Bruno Fernandes
Mo Salah (£12.3m) has four goals and one assist since his return from testing positive for covid-19 and he was instrumental in Liverpool winning the battle at the top of the Premier League at home to Spurs on Wednesday night. Discounting the match he missed, Salah has only blanked twice this season and his ownership should continue to soar over the coming weeks as managers try to fit him into their budget. So often the bright speak, the Portuguese let some other teammates claim the attacking returns in a 2-3 win away to Sheffield United.
The last time Fernandes blanked two games in a row he was sold by many a trigger-happy manager only to score 17 points in the very next game. Certainly, United’s talisman will likely rise to the occasion of facing Marcelo Bielsa’s Leeds and could be the difference against a side that just scored five goals against Newcastle. However, on recent form Mo Salah should be able to add to his three goals against Crystal Palace over their last three league meetings and he is the safest of two good picks.
