FPL Gameweek 14 – head-to-head comparisons: Harry Kane vs Jamie Vardy
Harry Kane (£10.9m) had a quiet game by his standards in an intense match at Anfield on Wednesday night but Spurs’ main man is only five points behind his partner in crime Heung-Min Son as the overall FPL top-scorer and blanked for just the third time in 13 games. Jamie Vardy (£10.3m) was also frustrated at home to a solid Everton side but the Foxes’ talisman has two goals and two assists over his last three matches.
There are plenty of reasons to back Kane here. For one, he scored three times over both editions of this fixture last season and leads this particular Premier League head-to-head 6-4 in goals scored against Jamie Vardy over the last six encounters. Kane has an excellent record against Leicester and his manager, Jose Mourinho, has an excellent record over his ex-protégé Brendan Rodgers with five wins and two draws in seven matches against each other.
