The glee on Jurgen Klopp’s face over the last few Liverpool matches in all competitions speaks volumes. Safely through in Europe via a 1-0 win against Ajax, he was able to rotate his potent front four against Wolves and should rest the majority of his first team against Midtjylland on Wednesday night. This only benefits Mo Salah (£12.3m) and his owners who will have enjoyed a goal, assist and 3 full bonus points in their thrashing of Wolves last weekend. The same could not be said for Bruno Fernandes (£10.9m) in this respect as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer simply cannot leave him on the bench for long enough. The Portuguese still bagged an assist in one half of football against West Ham last weekend to show his importance but now United are consigned to the Europa League there are plenty more gruelling midweek matches to play.

United face Man City this week for what should be an intriguing derby indeed and one that Fernandes is sure to start. The talisman has bagged one assist out of the three matches he has played this year against their rivals but as penalty taker in an aggressive clash is always a good option. However, Salah swings this comparison after what City did to Fulham last weekend. 14 and 13 points for Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling, respectively, in their match on Saturday suggests Salah and Liverpool can achieve similar numbers in Gameweek 12.

Verdict: Mo Salah
