FPL Gameweek 12 – head-to-head comparisons: Kevin De Bruyne vs Mo Salah
Kevin De Bruyne (£11.8m) bagged a goal and an assists last weekend against struggling Fulham to earn himself all the bonus points he could carry but his second goal of the season came via a penalty and it remains to be seen if that will unlock his full powers when he faces City’s rivals Manchester United. There could well be penalties involved but without knowing which of Pep Guardiola’s offensive personnel will take to the field that day it is hard to rely on those alone, although the Belgian is certainly a big-game player. Mo Salah (£12.3m) will likely enjoy a midweek rest for once and comes into face Fulham just after City dominated them. The Egyptian is in a rich vein of form and will enjoy the Cottagers’ rather statuesque defending.
Despite knowing what De Bruyne can produce on the big stage and the likelihood that the Manchester derby will have goals in it, a match against Fulham for as prolific an offensive returner as Salah is a no-brainer here.
Verdict: Mo Salah
