Both Pedro Neto (£5.5m) and Diogo Jota (£6.6m) were influential scorers in their matches for Wolves and Liverpool, respectively, last weekend but one man is in the form of his career right now. Neto may well have benefitted from Jota’ move to the champions over the summer but so has the Portuguese forward, with four goals since his introduction in Gameweek 3 and eight for the season in all competitions.
For those concerned as to whom Jurgen Klopp would cut from his ever-present front-three; the answer was no one as Jota starred alongside Mohamed Salah (£12.2m), Sadio Mane (£12.1m) and Roberto Firmino (£9.2m) in their match against Man City in Gameweek 8 and they could be an unstoppable force moving forward. At a whole £1m cheaper, Neto is certainly one to watch as a decent differential player but Jota is a steal at his current, ever-rising price.
Verdict: Diogo Jota
