Mohamed Salah (£12.2m) returned a negative test for covid-19 earlier this week and faced Atalanta in Liverpool’s first Anfield defeat for over two years. As he is cleared to travel to Brighton this weekend there will be plenty of FPL managers out there hoping he does not make their selling of him look foolish. Kevin De Bruyne (£11.6m) was on the wrong end of a 2-0 defeat last weekend when Man City travelled to Tottenham and he will relish the chance to face Burnley now – a team that City have scored 18 goals against since the start of 2019.
City will be aiming to improve offensively after scoring just 10 goals so far this season and while they may well take the shackles off against Burnley, De Bruyne’s direct involvement with that is a bit of a gamble if choosing between him and Salah. Liverpool’s top-scorer this season loves playing the Seagulls, scoring five against them in his last five league matches, and he more than wins this particular head-to-head.
