Raheem Sterling (£11.6m) punished those FPL managers who dropped him for Ilkay Gundogan this week with an early goal in Man City’s 0-1 victory at Arsenal last Sunday. The winger is rarely dropped by Pep Guardiola, even in double gameweeks, and tends only to be benched against the lower-placed sides in the league. Two home matches against West Ham and struggling Wolves could see him benched in the latter but it does seem likely that the 26-year-old will play a part in both games as City aim to keep their impressive winning streak going.

However, Bruno Fernandes (£11.6m) is the stand-out option for Double Gameweek 26 having scored four goals and made three assists in his last four Premier league games, earning 8 bonus points alongside that. The Portuguese playmaker is undroppable for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer right now and will likely start both away games in London against Chelsea and Crystal Palace. Though Chelsea are a tough nut to crack these days Fernandes is the kind of player required to unlock them and as United’s penalty-taker he could well tot up a hefty points total this DGW26. Both players are good options, and Sterling is something of a differential option at 12.5% ownership (at time of writing) but with almost two thirds of managers owning Fernandes it would be a hell of a risk to bet against him.

Verdict: Bruno Fernandes
