Stats in PDC Players Championship tournaments
Average – 98.39
180s – 75 (0.31 per leg)

H2H
vs Luke Woodhouse
W3, L1
Last meeting: Gerwyn Price 6-5 Luke Woodhouse (Feb 2020 – Players Championship)

vs Ted Evetts
W2, L1
Last meeting: Gerwyn Price 6-4 Ted Evetts (Oct 2019 – European Championship)

vs Rowby-John Rodriguez
W4, L0
Last meeting: Gerwyn Price 6-4 Rowby-John Rodriguez (Sept 2019 – Players Championship)

PROSPECTS
Gerwyn Price is the joint-favourite to win the whole tournament so it goes without saying that he is very short odds to progress through this group. Although the Welshman very much prefers the highly-charged action of the big stage, he is a still competitor who likes to win no matter what the tournament is.

LUKE WOODHOUSE

2020/21 SEASON SO FAR

Quarter-final x1

Stats in PDC Players Championship tournaments

H2H
vs Gerwyn Price

vs Ted Evetts
W1, L2
Last meeting: Ted Evetts 5-3 Luke Woodhouse (Nov 2017 – World Championship qualifier)

vs Rowby-John Rodriguez
W1, L0
Last meeting: Luke Woodhouse 6-4 Rowby-John Rodriguez (Mar 2019 – Players Championship)

PROSPECTS
Wins against Daryl Gurney and Michael Smith in major tournaments at the back end of 2019 show Luke Woodhouse’s ability, and his best run in a tournament so far this year came in the last event prior to the disruption of the tour when he reached the quarter-finals. If Price does slip up, he is good enough to take advantage.

TED EVETTS

2020/21 SEASON SO FAR

Stats in PDC Players Championship tournaments

vs Rowby-John Rodriguez
W3, L2
Last meeting: Ted Evetts 6-4 Rowby-John Rodriguez (May 2019 – Players Championship)

PROSPECTS
Ted Evetts had a very successful campaign on the PDC Development Tour last year when he won eight tournaments, but his results on the main tour have not really matched his potential. However, wins in his last meetings against both Woodhouse and Rodriguez could be good omens for Super Ted.

ROWBY-JOHN RODRIGUEZ

Stats in PDC Players Championship tournaments

H2H
vs Gerwyn Price
W0, L4
Last meeting: Gerwyn Price 6-4 Rowby-John Rodriguez (Sept 2019 – Players Championship)

vs Luke Woodhouse
W0, L1
Last meeting: Luke Woodhouse 6-4 Rowby-John Rodriguez (Mar 2019 – Players Championship)

vs Ted Evetts
W2, L3
Last meeting: Ted Evetts 6-4 Rowby-John Rodriguez (May 2019 – Players Championship)

PROSPECTS
One of several darting siblings, Rowby-John Rodriguez has been on the PDC circuit for a number of years and is striving to make his way back up the rankings. High averages on the tour this season of 107 vs Waites and 103 vs Gary Anderson show his calibre but he will need to show consistency in all three games if he is to challenge for the top spot.

THREE PICKS FROM 3 DART ANALYST

Ted Evetts to beat Rowby-John Rodriguez

These two players are no strangers having met on the PDC Development Tour over the last few years, Evetts has won each of their last three meetings and might be the one to side with in this fixture.

Luke Woodhouse +2.5 handicap vs Gerwyn Price

Luke Woodhouse won their only meeting in 2019 and took the Iceman to a last leg decider when they clashed on the ProTour a couple of months ago, over this short format he can push Price all the way again.

Gerwyn Price to score the most 180s vs Ted Evetts

Price’s maximum hitting ratio on the tour is much superior to that of his opponent in this encounter and the two-time Grand Slam champion should certainly have found his range on the T20 by the last match of the night.
