Stephen Bunting is something of a surprise package in the quarter-finals but the former BDO world champion is fully deserving of his spot after a string of impressive displays on the oche. His last opponent, Luke Humphries, may have been under-par in the fourth round but ‘The Bullet’ still averaged just shy of 100 and was once again clinical on his doubles. Nothing less than that will do here though, as he faces an opponent who is really hitting his stride now. Michael Smith's 103.25 average against Joe Cullen sent a warning to the rest of the field and he looks like he has even more gears to find. Bunting’s quick pace will probably bring out the best in Smith, with Bully Boy tipped to progress.
