THE PREDICTION
Cameron Menzies makes his debut at Alexandra Palace this year but it is not his first experience of a World Championship, having appeared in the BDO version in 2018 before reaching the semi-finals of the WDF iteration earlier this year. The PDC, of course, is a huge step up in quality though, and getting past the first hurdle will be all he is looking at so far. Diogo Portela, meanwhile, has been here before but, by his own admission, his form isn’t quite where he wants it to be coming into the event, so Menzies looks the sensible player to back in this one.
