THE PREDICTION

The top names in PDC darts – with the exception of the Gary Anderson who opted to miss this tournament - are assembling in Salzburg this weekend for the 2020 bwin World Series of Darts Finals. The 24-player event is the first PDC tournament to be staged in front of a live crowd since March.

If you are looking to place a bet on the outright betting market here are three players who look to be good value at the pre-tournament odds.

GERWYN PRICE (Win)

The two-time Grand Slam of Darts champion Gerwyn Price was disappointed to miss out on a place in the Premier League play-offs recently, but he bounced back in style winning back-to-back Players Championship tournaments at the PDC Autumn Series this week. The Iceman averaged 104 across his six matches in winning Wednesday’s tournament and if he turns up and shows the same form here in Salzburg then the Welshman can go all the way and claim another TV title.

GLEN DURRANT (Win or E/W)

Finishing at the top of the Premier League table is certainly no easy feat, and Durrant has recently done just that courtesy of a string of ultra-consistent performances. He will have to defeat the World Matchplay champion Dimitri Van den Bergh and the world number one Michael van Gerwen just to reach the quarter-finals in this tournament, but Duzza has the ability and belief to overcome both of those players and the title certainly isn’t out of his reach. A wager on Durrant to win outright or a more cautious each way bet are both enticing options at his pre-tournament odds.

KRZYSZTOF RATAJSKI (E/W)

A winner of multiple PDC tournaments, the Polish Eagle has recently broken into the top 16 and seems destined to keep on rising such is the consistently high-quality of play he delivers on a regular basis. A timely run to the final in the last tournament of the PDC Autumn Series on Wednesday will have given him a lot of confidence ahead of this weekend and an each way bet on Ratajski could prove to be good value for money.
