THE PREDICTION
Nathan Aspinall looked at ease with the double start format on his World Grand Prix debut 12 months ago when he reached the quarter-finals and he is capable of at least matching that performance at the 2020 World Grand Prix. The Asp is a tremendous competitor who relishes every challenge he faces so he will not be perturbed at having a tough first round tie against the very capable Gabriel Clemens. The German Giant has proven his quality on numerous occasions over the last three years, however, his form coming into this tournament has not been great and this is also his first time participating at the Grand Prix so how well he settles into this unique format remains to be seen. Aspinall should have the quality and belief to ensure progression, but he might not have it all his own way and the odds on Aspinall to win 2-1 are appealing.
