That success was certainly no surprise as the South African star had been putting in some excellent performances on tour in 2020 and it seemed only a matter of time before he would win a tournament. Petersen will fancy his chances of a good run here this week, but he faces a very tough first round tie here against Portugal’s Jose de Sousa - a two-time winner on the tour in 2019 – who has proven his quality on numerous occasions with consistently high averages. It's all set to be a very intriguing contest between two Grand Prix debutants, and it is quite difficult to predict who will settle in the quickest.
