Jonny Clayton goes into this match looking to win his first ever match at the World Grand Prix having suffered a pair of consecutive first round exits since making his debut in 2018. The Welshman should have confidence from his run to the final at the German Darts Championship just over a week ago, but he faces a very tough challenge against Ian White. Diamond has been a prolific winner of tour events over the years but his record in the major tournaments still comes under scrutiny as he has just one major PDC semi-final appearance on this record. White has reached the quarter-finals of this tournament before though - including last year - and he is tipped to edge through in a tight contest.
